first_img NEW YORK — Designer Jeremy Scott based his latest collection on America’s obsession with scandalous news and clickbait, using his clothes as a canvas for tabloid headlines.His runway show Friday evening at New York Fashion Week took the New York Post and the Daily News for inspiration, with dresses, trousers, jackets and coats all in black and white, emblazoned with headlines like “CHAOS!” ”HORROR!” ”PANIC!”It was a departure for Scott, whose runway is usually filled with a riot of bright colours and cartoon graphics.Some of the most striking items were elegant party dresses in dainty chiffon, printed with screaming tabloid headlines.Jocelyn Noveck, The Associated Press Extra!
