first_imgDear Editor,Election Day is approaching quickly on Saturday, April 27, 2019. I am asking you, the voters of Wilmington, to cast one of your two votes for Selectman Candidate Rob Fasulo. I’ve known Rob and his parents since 1984 and I remember when Rob’s Dad, back in 1985 when he and his whole neighborhood of Broad Street and King Street were opposed to a developer who wanted to put close to 200 condos at the cul-de-sac of Broad Street. I served on the Wilmington Planning Board back then, and we won. For the record, I was the only member of the Wilmington Planning Board that voted against this development and worked with the neighborhood to defeat this measure at town meeting. Back then, Candidate Rob Fasulo was only 9 years old. Two years later, Rob’s father was the very first person who threw a coffee hour for me when I was a candidate for the Wilmington Board of Selectmen in 1987. I’ve seen Rob grow up over the years to become a model citizen, a man of integrity and someone I know who would be a great selectman with an unshakable determination and a great sense of fairness. As an adult, Rob is a state investigator who knows the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Rob cares deeply about the quality of life of people and the environment of this town. Rob and his wife Melissa own a small business and they both work with the town’s bees and trees and make the best honey and maple syrup around. Rob is happily married to Melissa and they have three great kids who will all attend the Wilmington Public Schools.Last year, Rob ran for selectman and earned close to 1,100 votes. Needless to say, he is undeterred and is out there again running for a seat on the Board of Selectmen. Rob is looking out for your best interest and feels that the little guy in town should be represented and treated just as fairly as the big guys.If you vote for Rob, I assure you he is a person who will listen to what your concerns are and will do his very best to make sure you are well-represented. I’ve witnessed him personally talking one-on-one to people with genuine interest and concern. There is no doubt in my mind that residents will be well-represented by Rob Fasulo on the Board of Selectmen starting on day one.Thank you,Michael V.
