It wasn’t a great start for Dreher who once again teed off from the 10th hole as she began her round with a bogey. She would however rebound nicely with a birdie a couple holes later to get back to even.Dreher would bogey hole 18 just before the turn, and dropped another stroke on the second. The round had a positive ending however as birdies on two of the last four holes, on the sixth and ninth brought her back to even par.Next weekend may be the biggest in Dreher’s young career as she’ll be in Southampton New York for the U.S. Women’s Open. Round one of the tournament gets underway on Thursday.- Advertisement –
A recent online article in Byte and Switch discusses the frequent confusion over the difference between the terms Backup and Archive. Many people fail to distinguish between the two. This is particularly true in the case of email.Email backups allow you to be able to restore the state of an email system at particular point in time. Email archives allow you to easily identify emails for inquiry or eDiscovery and includes a set of criteria for selecting which emails to archive. In the AIIM study The Role of ECM in Storage Decisions, John Mancini wrote that the terms ‘storage’, ‘archive’ and ‘backup’ are terms that “…tend to be used interchangeably, without understanding the differences in policy , practice and technology to manage each effectively.”A July 2006 survey of 500 securities companies made by the compliance management company Orchestria found that 20% of the respondents were not confident that they could meet a regulatory subpoena deadline or request for electronic records even though 95% had received such requests from regulators within the last year. And the reason cited for this inability is that 62% have not properly archived their emails in a way that allows them to efficiently search the email content.Part of the problem may be the plummeting cost of disk storage. Because it is now so easy to do complete backups of all data, people don’t feel it’s necessary to create a true data archive, and when it comes time to search the data, they are often very limited in their options.A first step in approaching the problem is to realize there are different classes of data and different purposes for storing data. For example, there is the data that needs to be called up immediately to support the running of the day-to-day business. There is data that is kept online to meet query responses on the order of minutes rather than days. And there is data that needs to be kept online but is very infrequently accessed. The introduction of the concept of ILM (Information Lifecycle Management) within ECM was created to help better distinguish between different data classes and their storage strategies.

At last month’s Edmonton meeting, the premiers found common ground on issues such as economic corridors, which Kenney said includes everything from electricity grids to natural gas lines, highways, railways and pipelines. However, at the meeting’s conclusion Kenney said Alberta is prepared to use provincial legislation to limit oil and gas exports to any province standing in the way of pipelines, while Horgan said his government will push ahead with a legal challenge of that law.The Canadian Press After the meeting, they’ll have a chance to watch the Stampede rodeo before travelling to Saskatoon for this week’s Council of the Federation meeting in Saskatoon, which runs Tuesday through Thursday. The western premiers met late last month in Edmonton, where British Columbia Premier John Horgan and Kenney agreed to continue to disagree on the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion project that would carry Alberta oil to the West Coast.A parade of politicians, which included federal Conservative leader Andrew Scheer on Saturday, make a pilgrimage to Calgary every year during the city’s famous 10-day celebration of cowboy culture.“It’s an honour to welcome some of my fellow premiers to the Calgary Stampede to discuss how we can be closer partners in prosperity. We share a commitment to defending taxpayers, getting our natural resources to global markets by building pipelines and economic corridors, and to free trade within Canada,” Kenney said in the news release. The release said the Calgary meeting will build on discussions from the Western Premiers’ Conference, as well as meetings Kenney has had with counterparts across the country over the past two months. All of the premiers who will be in Calgary are conservatives, with the exception of Robert McLeod of the Northwest Territories, which has a consensus government. CALGARY — Alberta Premier Jason Kenney will host the premiers of Ontario, Saskatchewan, New Brunswick and the Northwest Territories at the Calgary Stampede.A news release from the province says the premiers will meet over dinner on Sunday, and will be officially welcomed at a traditional white hat ceremony during the premier’s annual Stampede pancake breakfast on Monday. It says formal meetings will follow, where Kenney says the leaders will discuss how they “can be closer partners in prosperity,” noting they share common goals such building pipelines and free trade within Canada.
Mumbai: Jet Airways’ stocks jumped over 17 per cent on Monday, but settled nearly 13 per cent higher at Rs 254.50 per share after Naresh Goyal quit the board and the ailing Jet said it will get an “immediate funding support” of Rs 1,500 crore from the lenders. The stock jumped 12.69 per cent to close at Rs 254.50 on the BSE. During the day, it rose sharply by 17.77 per cent to Rs 266. On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), shares zoomed 15.46 per cent to close at Rs 261 apiece. Additionally, Naresh Goyal to also cease to be the Chairman of the Company,” said the company in a statement. “Jet Airways rose on reports that the current promoter Naresh Goyal and his wife quit the board under pressure from the lenders. This will pave the way for the lenders to look for change of hands and in the meanwhile infuse capital to ensure that the Airlines continues to run,” said Deepak Jasani of HDFC Securities. While the airline made an official announcement about the board’s decisions after the markets closed, reports have been doing the rounds since morning that Goyal would be stepping down from the board. The company urgently needed funding to maintain whatever was left of its market shares, as the airline pilots and crew were said to be approaching other airlines for employment. The airline’s pilots along with engineers and other highly critical segment of employees have not been paid salaries from January 1, sources said, adding only 12.5 per cent of December pay was given. Abu Dhabi-based Etihad is a strategic partner with 24 per cent stake in Jet Airways. Jet Airways, which has been operating for more than 25 years, is grappling with financial crunch and is also looking to raise fresh funds. The airline has suspended operations on at least 14 international routes till the end of April and over 80 planes are on the ground. As many as 54 aircraft have been grounded due to non-payment of lease rentals.

But with only a few hours left in 2017, the streak came to a glorious end. After beating Miami on Sunday, Buffalo desperately needed Cincinnati to eliminate Baltimore, and Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton complied — finding Tyler Boyd for a game-winning touchdown on 4th-and-12 in the final minute. The play sent the Bills locker room into hysterics, while fans back home braved bitterly cold weather past midnight on New Year’s Eve to greet the team plane at the airport.New head coach Sean McDermott has led the franchise out of the regular-season desert, but there’s an irony to his triumph: This Bills squad is actually worse than many of those that failed to make the playoffs since that 1999 season. There are Bills fans old enough to buy beer who can’t remember what a Bills playoff team looks like — but even they ought to be able to tell that this squad is something less than one of the 12 best teams in the NFL.“You are what your record says you are,” Hall of Fame coach Bill Parcells famously asserted. But ESPN’s Brian Burke estimates that randomness accounts for about 42 percent of NFL outcomes, and the NFL’s playoff structure builds in even more inequity. The 2008 New England Patriots won 11 games but missed the playoffs, while the 2014 Carolina Panthers got in with a 7-8-1 record. This year’s Bills team finished 9-7, but based on Football Outsiders’ estimated wins and Pythagorean wins metrics,1Per Football Outsiders, Pythagorean wins are based on pure point differential, while estimated wins use a “Forest Index” to emphasize consistency and performance in high-leverage situations. it only earned 6.8 and 6.3 wins, respectively. Put another way, an NFL team that gets outscored by 57 points on the year (as the Bills did) mathematically ought to win about six or seven games. But it’s not just about wins. Pick a metric of team strength, and the Bills are typically at or below the median: 21st in scoring differential, 15th in FiveThirtyEight’s Elo ratings, 23rd in Simple Rating System,2Pro Football Reference’s Simple Rating System is derived from scoring differential and strength of schedule. 21st in Defense-adjusted Value Over Average.3Football Outsiders’ DVOA metric breaks down every NFL play and determines its value when compared to a league baseline based on situation (i.e., down and distance, field position, score). These Bills don’t stack up well against the 17 iterations that came before them, either: The best Bills team since 1999 was the 9-7 2004 squad. At 31.3 percent better than average, it was the NFL’s No. 3 team by overall DVOA. Buffalo’s defense, led by Pro Bowlers Takeo Spikes and Nate Clements, ranked No. 1. The team’s 12.4 estimated wins and 11.1 Pythagorean wins show they were actually much stronger than what their record said. The 2004 Bills lost their first four games, three by a combined margin of just 8 points and the other a 31-17 loss to the (eventual Super Bowl champion) New England Patriots. They then went 9-2 over their next 11 games, including a six-game win streak during which they outscored their opponents 228-89. Needing one last win to secure a playoff berth, they tripped up against a Pittsburgh Steelers team resting some of its starters. Football Outsiders deemed the 2004 Bills the best team to miss the playoffs since 1986 — as far back as its data goes.Despite racking up the same number of real-world wins, 2017’s Bills are a whopping 41.1 percentage points worse in DVOA. They also produced 5.6 fewer estimated wins and 4.8 fewer Pythagorean wins. Remember that 42 percent randomness? That this year’s Bills got to the same 9-7 record as the 2004 team suggests these two squads approached the upper and lower bounds of “lucky” and “unlucky” NFL results. The 2017 Bills aren’t the best Bills team since 1999, or anywhere close — they’re actually no better than seventh-worst in any of these metrics. Outside of running the ball with LeSean McCoy, these Bills don’t do anything well: They’re 29th in offensive yardage and 26th in yardage on defense. They keep their heads above water with a per-drive turnover rate that’s a little higher on defense (13.1 percent, 10th-best) than offense (8.9 percent, eighth-worst).2012 is the most recent year the Bills weren’t better across the board than they are now — and that group went 6-10.None of this can take away the joy Bills fans everywhere felt when the Ravens’ Week 17 collapse handed their team a wild-card berth, of course. But there’s a reason the Bills organization sent the Cincinnati Bengals thank-yous: This trip to the postseason was much more about being lucky than good.Check out our latest NFL predictions. 2006-2.17.78.07 2009-10.45.96.66 2018.104.22.168 2011-22.214.171.124 200431.3%11.112.49
